I love crocheting, after a hard day it calms me down and makes the stress go away and puts a smile on my face. When I got started, it was a little frustrating, I never thought I would be able to make anything. But through a little perseverance and with some help from my mother in law, that has been crocheting for 55 years, I found my way. I am thankful to her and others who have believed in me and I am definitely a yarn maniac now. I am a bubbly, thoughtful person who always see things from the bright side of life – and loves to crochet a lot!!

One of my best memories of things I have made, was giving my granddaughter her a pterodactyl dinosaur for her 3rd birthday, which she named Teddy. 

My name is Susan Courtny, I am in my 50’s and I live in central Florida. Yes, with all the crocodiles, sharks and yes! an occasional hurricane or tornado, but we do have the occasional sunshine and heat also. Anyway, the time not spent at work, or with my grandchildren or nieces or nephews and also making my husband take me to the yarn store, which he just loves to do, it is spent making magical yarn come to life, in magical ways!  

In a way its like opening a present for the first time, when you finish a project its like looking at a present that just  magicaly appears.
